RCCbpo (Ready Call Center) taking on 500 positions for 15th anniversary

With the unemployment ranks swelling, news of hiring anywhere is a major development.

Belize’s first call center business process outsourcing (BPO) operation, Ready Call Center (RCCbpo) has stepped up to the plate. Today it announced a “hiring blitz” of 500 positions as it prepares for its fifteenth anniversary.

Vice-President of Operations David Long, in the company’s statement, explained: “We will travel across Belize to discuss the benefits of the BPO industry while recruiting during this time of celebration…Our goal during that time, we will be visiting districts and scheduling presentations to educate people not only for RCCbpo, but also for the entire industry… We know many people in Belize may not fully understand what a BPO does exactly or the services we offer. We are firm believers that the BPO industry can and will grow in Belize, providing even more employment opportunities to help the local economy.”

Established in June of 2005, the company has a base at the ICON Building on Newtown Barracks in Belize City and in Orange Walk and has located a third base of operations to be announced to staff this week. In all, it now has more than 1,000 employees, rivaling Bowen and Bowen Limited for most employees employed by a private company.

Company CEO, Nubia Ramirez, made sure to thank all current and past staff and clients for getting RCC to its current position, and the hiring spree, she said, is their way of giving back and supporting the economy. And she promised a proper “bash” for the company’s anniversary once things have settled down.

“Happy 15th RCCbpo! Thanks to everyone for being a part of our success over these years and to all our Clients for their unconditional support and trust, RCCbpo is now expanding its operations with additional facilities in Belize City, Orange Walk and Cayo. We pray that God continues to bless Belize during this crisis and keeps us healthy, when that happens, we hope to celebrate properly with all of our staff, clients, and others that have helped the company be successful. We will continue striving for excellence and looking forward to the continuous development of the BPO industry that we started 15 years ago in Belize,” she said in the company statement.

The company statement also adds, “As COVID-19 recovery efforts begin, RCCbpo envisions their anniversary hiring blitz as being an integral part of the rebuilding work. Applications are being accepted right now for all locations in customer service and sales. It is a perfect opportunity for anyone who was part of the tourism/hospitality industry because the skills transfer to the call center environment immediately.”
