About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Mortgage Collection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the collection of mortgage loan payments, updating customer financial information, providing loan balances and due dates, and addressing past due statuses. This role involves transferring customers to the customer service team for any inquiries not related to collections.

Key Responsibilities:
○ Payment Collection: Collect payments for customer mortgage loans, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
○ Financial Updates: Update and maintain accurate customer financial information on their accounts.
○ Loan Information: Provide customers with their loan balances and due dates.
○ Past Due Status: Inform customers of their past due status and the amount owed.
○ Customer Transfers: Transfer customers to the customer service team for inquiries not related to collections.

Working Hours:
○ Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM
○ Friday: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
○ Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
○ Breaks: 2 (15-minute) breaks
○ Lunch: 1 (30-minute) lunch break
○ Days Off: Saturday and Sunday
○ Holidays: All U.S. and Canadian holidays off


  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma.

    • Customer service experience is a plus.

  • Skills and Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.

    • Proficiency in using collections and customer service software, databases, and tools.

    • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult or irate customers with patience and professionalism.

    • Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Familiarity with CRM and financial management systems is a plus.

  • Personal Attributes:

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Excellent multitasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.

    • Flexibility to work varied hours within the specified shift times.
